Equflow 6110 Barcode scanner to convert flow meter output

Every Equflow flow meter has a K-factor. This is the number of pulses that are generated when 1 litre of water flows through the flow meter with a flow within the flow range of the flow meter. This value can differ for different flow meters, even if they have the same product code.

Exchanging a flow-rate meter would normally require the operator to enter the new K-factor in his/her system. The Equflow 6110 barcode scanner is designed to convert the output of every flow meter into a user-defined value. This pre-defined value only needs to be entered once. When exchanging the flow meter, it is enough to scan the barcode to get the barcode scanner to convert the signal.

This barcode scanner is usually used in combination with a single-use Equflow flow meter and a separate instrument for which the digital signal is converted.

Advantages of using the Equflow 6110 barcode scanner

  • It takes just one second to scan the barcode. This means it is much faster than changing the settings in the controller, but it has the same accuracy and repeatability.

  • Reduces the chance of errors that could occur when manually entering the K-factor

  • Correction of the K-factor with a maximum of 5 flow rates over the entire flow range is possible. This increases the accuracy at the higher and lower ends of the flow range.
