Hitma introduces this new sustainable tubing from AdvantaBio (a brand of supplier AdvantaPure). With this tubing, you can realise a CO2 reduction of approximately 15% compared to AdvantaFlex tubing. Compared to standard TPE tubing, which is produced using fossil fuels, the CO2 reduction is even approximately 23.5%.

On Tuesday, September 2 2025, the festive opening of Hitma’s new return and recycling service took place. With this service, we help customers in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry make their processes more sustainable by significantly reducing the waste stream of single-use products. The official opening was performed by Jan Hazen, Alderman for Economic Affairs of the Municipality of Uithoorn. Under the watchful eye of Hitma Director Michiel Jansen, employees, and invited guests, he symbolically cut the “tubing ribbon” using a tubing cutter from Hitma’s assembly department.

The focus was on challenges related to equipment compatibility and the lack of standardization in single-use technology. Together with UltraPure International, we participated in the event and were able to demonstrate at booth 9 how our assemblies provide a solution to these challenges. As of October 1, 2022, Hitma and ESI Benelux will continue as one company within the single-use branch of Hitma UltraPure B.V. As a result of the merger, (bio)pharmaceutical companies can from that date turn to one supplier for a very wide range of single-use products and assemblies. After the merger, the collaboration with all suppliers of both companies will be continued from the Hitma building in Uithoorn. The specialists from ESI Benelux are making the switch to the Hitma team.
